About Us

My photo
We make intentional lifestyle choices to use the abundance God has given us here in the U.S., so that we can give to those less fortunate than us in 3rd world countries. We want others to see the difference as Jesus, not us. We are all sinners in need of a savior. We are NOTHING without Jesus! Everything we have comes from Him and it is such a blessing to share it!

Arriving in Uganda!

It was soo great to be united with our team from Calvary Community (our church in WI) at the airport in Entebbe. We are 13 in number, here to serve together for 2 weeks.
We were SO grateful that all 26 pieces of our luggage arrived safely....gifts for our church's 2 missionaries in Uganda: Pastor Micah & Grace Rwothumio and Syd & Andrea Sparks of Musana Camps. We had to rent a truck for all the tubs, boxes & suitcases.

We are staying at Micah & Grace's beautiful guesthouse with the warmest hospitality in Kampala!
Grace and her sisters serve with contagious joy!

Jonas had to have a rematch with Pastor Micah (carried over from 2 yrs ago ;)

Jonas quickly made friends with their turkey and liked to pet it, hold it, and take it for walks!
Both of our kids are climbers (on the water tower at Micah & Grace's).
Nothing like drinking a cup of Lemongrass tea in front of a huge ant hill! Priceless!
There is a big jack fruit tree at Pastor Micah's.

More climbing (with some neighbor boys).

We got to take in a local football (soccer) game our very first eve in Uganda!
(next to Micah & Grace's house).
We saw men playing in flip flops, 2 different mismatched shoes, and even barefoot! They were so skilled, no matter what their footwear. It was amazing to watch them!
Posing with the soccer players at their end goal.

Helen and Reba (Micah & Grace's daughters) are digging into the granola bars that were donated by many folks at Calvary Community (a special treat they can't buy in Uganda). Many thanks!
Pastor Micah was also surprised with a year's worth of poppy seed dressing (also donated by Calvary Comm Church).
