About Us

My photo
We make intentional lifestyle choices to use the abundance God has given us here in the U.S., so that we can give to those less fortunate than us in 3rd world countries. We want others to see the difference as Jesus, not us. We are all sinners in need of a savior. We are NOTHING without Jesus! Everything we have comes from Him and it is such a blessing to share it!

Musana Camps

Musana Camps is a ministry of New Hope Uganda which strives to bring the Fatherhood of Christ to the fatherless (Psalms 68:5-6). Musana hosts youth camps, family camps, pastors retreats, local outreach days to the surrounding villages, training programs such as Biblical Manhood & Womanhood, etc. Each program is designed to bring participants face to face with the reality of Jesus Christ. The Camp's motto is: Encountering Truth, Transforming Lives (John 8:31-32).
Our church in WI partners with the camp and supports the camp directors, Syd & Andrea Sparks (who grew up in our church).
Syd met our bus at the gate and the kids hopped out to ride down with him on the 4wheeler while the bus followed to the camp site.
The goats and the view greeted us....
The tents that housed our team for 7 nights....
Haywood's Home away from Home...
The kitchen....
The Hall...
where we ate...
played carpet ball...
and worshipped...

(Sydney preaching from the new pulpit Andrea's dad, Tom Hilker built & shipped with our team, then Tim & Eric assembled & stained/sealed it).

The cold outdoor showers....
Step up to the throne....
And if the pit toilets were occupied or you didn't feel like running down the hill in the dark, there were always the squatty potties....

Eric & Joey had quiet time overlooking the lake every morning.
The camp is a very special place indeed! God's presence is everywhere!!!
