The kids put on a special performance for us.

A cultural dance, which was amazing!....

They ended by singing " Thankyou for giving to The Lord" (of course we all bawled our eyes out!)

June Bdays

First Love does a once-a-month birthday party for the kids at the children's home.

Jonas & Juliet are "twins"....both June 13th! (Juliet is older though)

Our little Hellen is a June birthday too!

Cupcakes are a big treat!

School Day

One day we got to help deliver the First Love kids their lunch at school. 

First we stopped at the preschool...

The little boys were soo excited to see their buddy Jonas show up in the classroom!

We got to see Hellen's room (the new girl we sponsor).

Then we went to drop the lunches off for the older kids...

It was so neat to see where they go every day.

We got to see some of their classrooms...

Luchi, the little boy that Summer sponsors...

Then, because the teachers went on strike, they released all the students early, so we walked home with them....

We made it back home in less than 30 minutes! 

(And that included stopping to pick flowers along the way)

African Ballet

Alea taught a ballet class one night and even some boys joined in! Miss Colleen would be proud!
