Other than Jonas leaving his only jacket for the 8 weeks on the plane & Ally having to throw a few liquid toiletries away that didn't fit in the quart size ziplock, we made it smoothly thru all the check-ins & weigh-ins to our layover in London.
For those of you who like fun facts, our official tally for our 10 checked pieces in lbs was: 50, 49.5, 47.8, 39.5, 50.5, 45, 47, 49.5, 52, 50! The couple that went overthe 50 lb limit, they let slide since we were under on most of them....Whew!!!
We are thrilled to have our "adopted daughter", Ally Jaeck, traveling with us for the next 8 weeks! Jonas & Alea adore her...she's a great big sis! (She is the daughter of one of Joey's 3rd grade teaching partners).
What a blessing to find this "garden oasis" at the Heathrow Airport where we could sleep comfortably during our 8 hr layover! God is good!
