After a long, exhausting, rewarding day of Kids Club in the slum (morning & afternoon sessions, serving food over the lunch hour), we come back to the First Love Kids at the Childrens Home.
We greet them as they come home from school (5:00pm)...
The little ones get home from preschool earlier than the older kids (around 4:00pm)....
The kids come home from school and polish their school shoes for the next day.....
Then they do some laundry....
Or a few other chores....
Then worship....our favorite part of the day!!!! [every day at 6:00pm]
Dancing & singing to the beat of the drums (djembe)!
Then Joey & Anissa lead devotions (we are doing the Fruit of the Spirit...each night teaching on
a different fruit)
Then after dinner, we have team devotions, then help the kids study and do their homework until 8:30....
Somewhere in there, we find time to milk the cow.....
Catch rabbits (to keep them out of the garden)....Jonas' personal favorite pastime (Ally caught one & he caught the other, with headlamps at night!!!)
Chase chickens...
(Preferably NOT inside the dining hall)!
Then showers and to bed by 10:00 (or later if we stay up to blog or email)!
Then we are up at 6:00am to do it all over again....
Ahhhh! This is the life! So rich and full!
