About Us

My photo
We make intentional lifestyle choices to use the abundance God has given us here in the U.S., so that we can give to those less fortunate than us in 3rd world countries. We want others to see the difference as Jesus, not us. We are all sinners in need of a savior. We are NOTHING without Jesus! Everything we have comes from Him and it is such a blessing to share it!

Coming Full Circle

Amazing story about Joey being sick with a really high fever (in bed for 2 dys). The nurse here at the New Hope Uganda clinic thought it was malaria (he had all the symptoms), but if u r taking malaria meds the rapid test wont work (prick finger, like a pregnancy test, if the line shows up) so u have to put blood on slide to look under microscope. well it was Sat morn & theres no staff on the wknd who know how to use the lab. She didnt want to make joey wait til mon to start treatment. She said she wld draw the blood if only there was someone who knew how to look under the microscope & identify the malaria cells (there's 4 diff kinds). Well lo & behold, guess who's oldest son was coming to visit his family that day, who just graduated tech college on June 29th as a lab technician & got hired at the local hospital??? OURS!!!! (He lives off site, age21, so we r officially done sponsoring him now, but he will always be our son). So she got the keys to unlock the lab and our son was the one who was able to tell us the good news that Joey did NOT have malaria, but a really bad bacterial infection of some sort & needed to start antibiotics right away. Because of that, Joeys fever broke Sun night and he felt well enough (just weak) to help lead our first day of VBS Mon morn (he does the Bible lesson each day....the most impt part!!!) PTL!!! Our son, Godfrey, said it was becuz of us paying his way thru college that he got the training needed to help Joey that day and now he can earn money helping others who are sick as well!
My heart was about to burst with pride and joy watching him look under the microscope!!! He is such an amazing young man! He is humble, gentle, tender-hearted and loves The Lord just like his adopted dad!! ;)
