G-Nuts
Ground Nuts are a very popular crop in Uganda and a favorite snack of the Haywoods. They make a sauce of them to pour over matooke (steamed bananas) and they also steam them in the shell, but our favorite way is shelled & roasted. Here we were helping our friend, Isaac (the one Joey baptized at Musana Camp who happened to be back at Kasana the same time we were) dig up the g-nuts...
