About Us

My photo
We make intentional lifestyle choices to use the abundance God has given us here in the U.S., so that we can give to those less fortunate than us in 3rd world countries. We want others to see the difference as Jesus, not us. We are all sinners in need of a savior. We are NOTHING without Jesus! Everything we have comes from Him and it is such a blessing to share it!

The Gift of a Blanket

Last month all the day students (meaning they don't live at New Hope with a family group), got new mattresses from their sponsors, which we got to see during our home visits. They were sooo excited to show us their mattress! Then, the week we were there, they all got new blankets. It was soo neat for us to be part of the distribution and see our sponsorship dollars at work in a very tangible, useful way!
Zephaniah with his aunt.

Robinah with her grandmother & Rashida with her mother, who we got to meet for the first time (we'd only met her grandmother). Seeing Rashida's mom and new baby brother was a special treat (even for Rashida who doesn't see them very often).

Although we don't sponsor Richard financially, Joey came home with another "son". On the first day of VBS Joey made an announcement that if anyone had questions or wanted to meet with him one-on-one let him know. Well 2 boys ended up coming to the guest house every day for discipleship and formed a really strong bond with Joey. They are going to write letters and Joey will continue to encourage them on their spiritual walk. So he was thrilled when he got a chance to meet Richard's grandmother at the blanket distribution!

Janet, who our good friends the Turners sponsor, getting her blanket from the monthly $ they send. For only $35/mth you, too, can provide for a child's school fees, school uniform & shoes, school supplies, medical care, daily multivitamin, bedding & other basic needs. If you would like to experience the joy of improving a child's quality of life amidst their poverty, please email us!
