About Us

My photo
We make intentional lifestyle choices to use the abundance God has given us here in the U.S., so that we can give to those less fortunate than us in 3rd world countries. We want others to see the difference as Jesus, not us. We are all sinners in need of a savior. We are NOTHING without Jesus! Everything we have comes from Him and it is such a blessing to share it!

Big brothers

Jonas was very attached to all 3 of his big brothers.  Kiweewa Christopher was so smitten with him that he wrote a special farewell letter to Jonas Green, telling him the power behind the 8 year old's 3 precious words "I love you" and what that did to build him up as a person.

Pointing to Wisconsin on Ziwa Godfrey's shirt (that we gave them in care packages a couple years ago).

Joshua, taking us on a tour of his garden.  "Gardens" in Uganda are really fields....all their food is grown, harvested and stored by hand (there is no grocery shopping).  They spend hours every day working in and take great pride in their gardens.  Subsistance Farming...totally different from the Kibera Slum of Nairobi, Kenya.

Outside Ziwa's kitchen and store (they call their storage shed a store).

Ziwa taught Jonas how to crack open a passion fruit and the fine art of sucking/licking the seeds out.

Keweewa Christopher translating the 4 hr church service into Luganda...isn't he handsome!?!  I was such a proud mamma!  (Actually they call us Uncle and Auntie in both Kenya and Uganda...it's a term of respect like Mr. & Mrs. but with endearment).

Weight lifting, Ugandan style (Joshua made these with cement and plastic containers).

Joshua slam dunkin the ball!  He is the only one of our boys that does NOT like soccer....his favorite is basketball and he's the best on their team.  His favorite team is the lakers!  So we got him a Lakers jersery (the other 4 got soccer jerserys of their favorite team)...he was stoaked!

All 3 of our older boys are such talented young men!  Joshua plays guitar, excellent basketball player and amazing artist (he's the one that sketched the picture of us many of you have seen hanging on our fridge).
