We spent a joyous afternoon with all 10 of our sponsored children yesterday!!! It was such an overwhelming and joyous time....to see their smiles, to hear their laughter and know what their voices sound like, hug them, hold their hands....not just stare at them in a frozen photograph!!! It is so fun getting to know their personalities and see how they interact. We had a time of prayer, games, drinking soda (a big treat for them) and cookies. We talked with them about how God is our provider and they should not look to us as their provider. I shared with them about my dad dying, so I was fatherless like them, but that we all have a heavenly father that we can fully rely on and that will never leave us or forsake us. (For children to qualify for New Hope they must be fatherless...the whole mission is bringing the fatherhood of Christ to the fatherless). It was a powerful special time. Praise God for His provision (which many of you were a part of) that has allowed us to be here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
