About Us

My photo
We make intentional lifestyle choices to use the abundance God has given us here in the U.S., so that we can give to those less fortunate than us in 3rd world countries. We want others to see the difference as Jesus, not us. We are all sinners in need of a savior. We are NOTHING without Jesus! Everything we have comes from Him and it is such a blessing to share it!

Our girls

The 3 younger girls wearing dresses Alea gave them.
An African Tea Party!  Alea had this all planned out for months before we came!  She brought along a glittery pink tablecloth, fancy napkins and doilies.  We served real tea (chai), red Fanta (for pretty bubbles), mendazes (like a triangle donut) with the mango jam we made, cinnamon tortilla chips that Christopher made (that's his business), mangos and passion fruit that were gifted to us, and granola bars (from home) cut into little bit-size pieces (they'd never eaten granola bars before!  Everyone had a lovely time!
Our 3 R's!
"Giving a push" to Rashida, Robinah & Rosemary after our tea party and gift giving (means walking them part way home; seeing them off)

Alea with Robinah and Rashida.
Alea had brought along yarn from home and taught them how to finger-weave these headbands and bracelets.  They were excited to learn a new skill and make something pretty for themselves!
