Okay, so the last set of pictures, that I added captions to, never did upload, sorry. We tried again this morning and still no luck...the internet speed is so unreliable. Hopefully we can get more posted before we leave Kenya, because Uganda we will have even less access to the internet.
So we just got back from the Indian Ocean!!! It was a last-minute surprise that we didn't think was going to even be a possibility! Half of our group went on safari and those of us who couldn't afford $800 (x 4 for our family) took an 8hr bus trip to the coast! We stayed at a great little guest house run by AIM (a Christian organization) that sat right on the ocean. We had a little kitchenette and ate breakfast under the tikki hut outside. It was sooo warm there (Nairobi has actually been pretty chilly). We did see our first mosquitos. At low tide we walked way far out on the reef, finding sea urchins, starfish, sea slugs, crabs, etc. Of course we all got sunburned really bad, but it was a GREAT day! On the busride we saw elephants, zebras, giraffes and camels along the roadside. Plus tons of little dirt huts with grass roofs, and mud bricks laid out to dry. The bustrip back was really unpleasant because the AC was broken...Alea threw up from overheating. But it was all worth it! Now Joey and I have been to all 4 oceans.
Back to Kids Club this morning.....
About Us
- FAMILY MISSION: To Bring Glory To God! FAMILY MOTTO: We Live Simply, So Others May Simply Live!
- We make intentional lifestyle choices to use the abundance God has given us here in the U.S., so that we can give to those less fortunate than us in 3rd world countries. We want others to see the difference as Jesus, not us. We are all sinners in need of a savior. We are NOTHING without Jesus! Everything we have comes from Him and it is such a blessing to share it!
