About Us

My photo
We make intentional lifestyle choices to use the abundance God has given us here in the U.S., so that we can give to those less fortunate than us in 3rd world countries. We want others to see the difference as Jesus, not us. We are all sinners in need of a savior. We are NOTHING without Jesus! Everything we have comes from Him and it is such a blessing to share it!

"Let the weight of your glory fall on us, Oh Lord!"

Those were the words to the opening song at church on Sunday.  I love the imagery and concept of that line....if we truly grasped His glory, we would be flat on our faces in worship, weighed down by His majesty!!!  We worshipped at a large, modern, Penecostal church in Nairobi.  The service was 2 1/2 hrs long!  But what a privelage to worship with our brothers and sisters on the other side of the globe!  They had a full worship band and most of the songs were in English, many that we were familiar with.  The choir did one song in Swahili and the best treat of all....a soloist sang "How Great Thou Art" in Swahili!!!  That is my all-time favorite hymn...we sang it at my dad's funeral and I want it sang at mine.  I was thinking about how Pastor Doug often says during SatCom (our Saturday eve church service at home in WI) that churches on the other side of the globe were already starting to worship....and that was us!!!! Joey and I were both in tears, it was such a thrill to worship with the Kenyans.

Again, I went back and added captions to the previous pictures below (sorry it's after the fact) but you might want to scan back thru, if you want more details.

Thanks for your continued prayers!
Anissa
