About Us

My photo
We make intentional lifestyle choices to use the abundance God has given us here in the U.S., so that we can give to those less fortunate than us in 3rd world countries. We want others to see the difference as Jesus, not us. We are all sinners in need of a savior. We are NOTHING without Jesus! Everything we have comes from Him and it is such a blessing to share it!

Made it safely to Uganda!

Thanks so much for your prayers during our trip to Africa. We had a safe flight from Nairobi to Entebbe airport and are presently in Kampala, visiting a missionary family that our church sponsors. I am actually in an internet cafe only about 10 meters away from the green and white striped
Tent that we will be worshipping in, in less than 24 hours!!!  It has always been a dream of ours to worship with the students here at University Community Fellowship (UCF).  Pastor Micah's daughter is rehearsing on the keyboards with the worship team for tomorrow.  Jonas instantly made friends with some boys doing flips and gymnastics on the grassy slopes outside the tent, here on campus. He makes instant friends wherever he goes. He was organizing the boys right off the bat, and counting in Swahili (which we didn't realize they also speak here in Uganda) and the kids were so impressed!

If anyone would like to contribute to the UCF building fund, to help put a permanent roof over these college students’heads to worship in, please see our first blog (way below) with the address of where you could send any contributions God might lay on your hearts.  Uganda has 2 rainy seasons (it’s actually rained pretty heavily this afternoon…our very first day here) so the tent is rotting away.  We were hoping to help lay some bricks while we were here (the “Beads for Bricks” project we were selling all those necklaces for), but not enough funds have come in yet to begin construction.
