Jonas' Birthday (Number 8)

They do have some real balls, but also make their own out of socks and wadded up plastic.

Soccer! Soccer! and more soccer! (football)

Ugali is the main dish here in Kenya (ground maize flour made into a paste)

Tom & Linda Clinton (First Love founders & directors) gave Jonas a giraffe for his birthday!

June Birthdays at First Love...they celebrate all the bdays at once, as many kids don't know the actual day they were born. They sang the Kenyan version of "Happy Birthday" to Jonas and then we sang the American version to the other 3. The Kenyan version is MUCH better!  Drums, dancing, the whole bit!
