The orphaned babies we worked with at both Baby Houses, were abandoned in taxis, hospitals, dumpsters, latrines, left on their doorstep, etc. Because there aren't abortion clinics in Africa, they have a higher number of orphans than we have in the USA. The mothers have the babies and sneak out of the hospital, leaving their babies behind or find other "creative methods" of getting rid of their babies.
At this one we got to give baths, change diapers, give bottles and dress them.
We visited this one on a Sunday afternoon and there was a Sunday School groups of local children (in Orange shirts) who also came to help serve and brought donations for the Baby House. Too sweet!
